#GFCUCares efforts in 2023:

4,121 items

GFCU staff and members collected a combined 4,121 school supply items, plus an additional $3,580 in monetary donations for Communities in Schools’ Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive.

$57,528 raised

Our record-breaking donations raised were distributed evenly for Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio, Haven for Hope, San Antonio Food Bank, and San Antonio Sports.

$32,395 raised

Raised a record-breaking $32,000 in donations for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – South Central Texas Light The Night 2023 Walk to celebrate survivors, support those battling blood cancer, and remember loved ones lost to blood cancer.

$3,540 donated

GFCU staff donated more than $3,500 to Ma Hila’s Heart in support of their mission to provide hope and strength to families in need battling childhood, adolescent, and young adult cancer.

92 meals

We once again delivered Thanksgiving meals to all fire stations, the fire prevention office, police substations, downtown police Bike Patrol, Dispatch, and the Bexar County Detention Center in 2023.

$3,652 donated

Our employees donated more than $3,600 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas to support their efforts of mentoring youth in our community to unleash their full potential.
