While at any participating CO-OP Shared Branch, present your government issued picture ID and GFCU account number and you’ll be able to:

Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, attends school, or owns a business in Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina and/or Wilson County, Texas. All immediate family members of those listed above are also eligible for membership.

The main difference between a credit union and a bank is that banks are for-profit institutions, whereas credit unions are not-for-profit. Banks are run by shareholders, whereas credit unions are run by a member-elected board of other members. Credit unions typically offer fewer fees, lower loan rates and higher deposit rates than banks do.
