Boysville June Birthdays Celebration
The #GFCUCares Team had a blast at Boysville celebrating all the June birthdays! The kids were able to enjoy this warmer weather with a water slide, presents, cakes and cheer. We also served up grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, and sides for everyone.
Our VP of Member Engagement, Letty Gonzales, is Boysville Board Treasurer, and we’re honored to help support their mission to provide a safe family environment for children in need so they may become responsible adults. And Happy 80th Birthday to Boysville!
51st Annual Heroes Luncheon
#GFCUCares proudly supported The 100 Club of San Antonio 51st Annual Heroes Luncheon yesterday – a beautiful tribute to our community’s fallen heroes and ensuring their families are not forgotten. Our President & CEO Ken Raymie sits on the board of The 100 Club of SanAntonio, which offers a wide array of support in Bexar County such as financial assistance within 24 hours of a line of duty death, higher education scholarships for children of fallen first responders and financial assistance/ counseling to seriously injured first responders.
SA Sports 2024 Corporate Cup
Generations FCU had the privilege of presenting local charities with donations totaling $58,266.25. This amount was raised by staff, members, and community partners in our bid for the 2024 Corporate Cup Charity Challenge title. All funds are invested into local charities, helping our neighbors in a myriad of ways. This year’s beneficiaries are San Antonio Sports, Haven for Hope, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio, the San Antonio Food Bank, and South Texas Blood & Tissue. Our teams worked hard to surpass our 2023 donation totals. We also rolled our sleeves to give blood to help save 153 lives! Additionally, we collected over 732 pounds of non-perishable food items. The Charity Challenge is one piece of the Corporate Cup competition puzzle, but it’s the most vital to our GFCU Cares Team.
